“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”
I don’t like it. Deathly and Hallows? What? I guess that it means someone will die on Halloween. Probably Harry.

I HAVE THE POWER! I was awoken by the sound of my room’s 7-disc DVD player changing discs to check if any were loaded, which it does anytime it’s plugged back in. It was almost exactly 4.5 days without power.
Strange behaviors still present:
* brought candles into bathroom to shower with instead of using light
* opened window to reduce steam level instead of using fan (steam was setting off fire alarm because of insane cold)
* thinking that now that I have power, I can watch a movie on my laptop because I can plug it in and keep it charged (oh, right, I have a TV too now, huh)
* I still somewhat expect it to be absolutely frigid when I get home. Last night it dropped to a bit below 40 inside.
* Still for some reason worried I’ll run out of matches

FYI – still without power, it’s starting to look like I might fly home before it is back on. Work is back up, though, so I at least have internet part of the day. TECHNOLOGYYYYYYYYYY.
Shopping in a grocery store running on a generator is downright spooky. There’s no sound except the beep-beep of the checkout lane, and it’s dark and generally ominous. I even started checking around for likely weapons in case of zombie attack.
Spooky.

In case any of you have heard, there was some wind Thursday and I have since been without power. It sucks. I miss technology. I am quite glad that I have a gas-powered water heater and fireplace, and a lot of scented candles.
